The overall jist of Minecraft is always to build cities. Your lego character walks around and builds lego type cities. There is not really just about any violence with this game, apart from killing some animals. I know... I know... not every that attracting hear.... there is however an excuse for killing the animals. The characters are a lot like pioneers. They need to utilize animals for food and then for survival. (much less gruesome because you can have first thought)
